The south coast is the home of the capital Santo Domingo, with a wide variety of culture and history to be discovered. The old colonial city attracts locals as well as holidaymakers. Boca Chica is home to a natural lagoon of turquoise, warm waters created by one of the Caribbean reefs, an excellent place to see the sea life, or just lie back on the white sandy beaches and admire the scenery.
